General
Information
Travel
Several major airlines serve Jackson Hole including American, Northwest,
United, and Continnental.
Our
program base in Jackson Hole Wyoming is just ten minutes from the
airport!
Food
We dine in a family setting with fresh foods to ensure high quality
meals. We provide good wholesome food in great quantity in a family
atmosphere at camp. Fresh foods ensure high quality meals. A balanced
menu provides campers with the energy to do the activities at camp
and grow in our healthy mountain environment. All meals offer a
vegetarian option. We eat at tables in our cabin groups. The staff
eat with their campers. Meal time provides another chance for campers
to feel welcome and enjoy each others' company. Classic fare at
camp is great! We aim for high-quality kid-friendly meals at all
times. Following are just a few examples:

Safety
Our trained staff supervise campers at all times. All Instructors
hold current certifications in CPR and Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness
First Responder. Counseling staff are all Wilderness First Aid and
CPR certified. Everyone takes time to learn proper technique, insuring
the safety and comfort of everyone. After reasonable instruction,
campers who do not demonstrate minimum levels of skill and confidence
to ensure their safe participation, will not be able to continue
in a given activity and/or camp. Campers and staff must wear lifejackets
while participating in all boating activities. Lifeguards are present
during all water oriented activities. Everyone wears seat belts
while traveling in any vehicle.
Equipment
One of our goals is to make your experience with us easy and fun!
We know not everyone has gone camping before so we provide sleeping
bags and backpacks for use during the program! We also provide all
the necessary group gear including tents, maps and activity specific
equipment such plus a list of appropriate clothing and equipment
as soon as you sign up. Mullins Camp offers for purchase items such
as socks, hats and sunscreen. Campers must bring personal items
such as hiking boots and clothing. Upon arrival, we check each camper's
gear to ensure safety and comfort on the trail. Essential gear not
meeting our safety standards must be replaced through rental or
purchase.
Communication
We recommend campers bring activated pre-paid phone cards for use
while traveling to and from camp. Mullins Camp campers can receive
mail at Trails. Please address it to the camper - Mullins Camp,
PO Box 123, Kelly, WY 83011-0123. We do not allow campers to use
the phone except in the case of an emergency. Urgent messages can
reach campers by calling the camp office. We daily pick up mail
and print email for the campers. Please send mail, they love it.
Physical
Condition
A person in average physical condition should be able to complete
all aspects of the Mullins Camp program. Our office must receive
a written physical examination by a medical doctor prior to acceptance.
Spending
Money
We recommend a maximum of fifty US dollars for the entire program
including travel.
Camp
Mullins Camp is a co-ed program. Female and male counselors lead
each group. Campers sleep in tents separated by male and female.
